Is BetRivers legal in Ontario?

Yes. BetRivers’ Ontario site is run by Rush Street Interactive Canada, ULC, which its help centre says is licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. It’s also listed on iGaming Ontario’s register of regulated sites.

Regulation is the whole point. A regulated casino has to check who you are, keep your money separate from its own, give you tools to limit your play, and answer to an Ontario regulator if it messes up. An offshore site that “accepts Canadians” owes you none of that.

How fast does BetRivers pay out?

Faster than most. BetRivers runs its own approval system, RushPay, and its help centre says the majority of withdrawals are approved instantly. The rest go to its payments team for a manual check.

After approval, the speed depends on how you’re paid. BetRivers’ own figures:

1. PayPal: within 30 minutes.
2. Interac e-Transfer: usually within an hour, but up to 5 business days.
3. Online banking: 2 to 5 business days.

Your first withdrawal still waits on identity verification, so upload your ID when you sign up and you’ll skip most of the wait.
